1804 C-7 R4 Spiked Chin G4. Sharper with F12 details but moderately corroded with a few specks of red and green verdigris on the obverse, more on the reverse. Dark reddish steel. The date is strong and the legends are clear and easily readable. What makes this piece special is the terminal die state, Manley 8.0. Only three are known (Dr. Wallace Lee, McCawley & Grellman Auctions/Superior 5/25/2003, lots 194 and 195, and this coin. The finest is the VF25 sold at lot 194 for $13,800, and lot 195 was a corroded piece net graded as AG3 that brought $1955. The cud breaks on this piece are bold.
