Macedonian Kingdom. Antigonos III Doson. Silver Tetradrachm, 229-221 BC. Amphipolis, ca. 227-225 BC. Head of Poseidon right, wreathed with marine plants. Reverse: BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIΓONOY inscribed on side of prow, Apollo seated left on prow, testing arrow; below, two monograms. Cf. SNG Alpha Bank 1046-7 (without lower monogram). Fine style, excellent silver. Lightly toned. Choice Very Fine. Estimated Value $600 - UP
