METAPONTUM , Archaic Nomos or Stater, c. 510-470 BC, Barley grain/same incuse, no lgnd or symbol visible, 21 mm, VF-EF, the tiniest bit off-ctr, bright metal with only a hint of roughness; boldly struck in high relief, the rev incuse quite well defined.
