Diva Faustina Senior, died 140/1. AD. AR Denarius (18 mm, 3,40 g.). Rome. DIVA FAVSTINA Veiled and draped bust of Diva Faustina to right Rev. CONSECRATIO Peacock standing right, head to left. RIC 384b. BMC 476. Cohen 176. About extremely fine. Boldly struck and even on a small and thick flan where a part of legend is missing a very charming coin with a great charm. Empress with a very gentle and calm portrait, the peacock on the obverse very well centered all covered with a yellowish mint luster and wonderful slightly dark old cabinet tone.
