Macedon, Philippi (as Thasian Epeiros, Krenides). Circa 360-356 BC. AE (10mm, 1,31g.). Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. Club and bow; ΘΑΣΙΟΝ above, HΠEIPO below. Le Rider, Thasiennes 30; Bellinger, Philippi 2; Le Rider, Thasiennes 29; AMNG II/2, 1; SNG ANS 646; HGC 3.1, 626. Good very fine, unusually well defined with a nice black patina. Rare.
