L. Procilius. 80 BC. AR Denarius serratus (19mm, 3.61 g.). Rome mint. Head of Juno Sospita right, wearing goat-skin headdress SC behind the head. Rev. L·PROCILI·F. Juno Sospita, hurling spear and holding shield and reins, driving galloping biga right; serpent below. Crawford 379/2; Sydenham 772; Procilia 2; RBW 1407. Good very fine with a pleasant old cabinet tone.
