RIC 96 Sestertii with the PROB ( probatum, or 'approved' counterstamp only appear on coins of Claudius. Most prominently they appear on coins found in Britain, though Italian finds are also noted. They were likely minted in Rome, countermarked, then exported for local usage, but another theory is that they were marked later during the reign of Nero. ex James Pickering Collection, ex Dmitry Markov Coins & Medals.
