Description
PB Byzantine seal of Constantine (AD 7th century)
Obv: An eagle with outspread wings. Above between the wings, a cruciform invocative monogram (type V): Θεοτόκε βοήθει. Wreath border.
Rev: Cruciform monogram: Κωνσταντίνου. Wreath border.
Translation: Mother of God, lend Thy aid. (Seal of) Constantine.
