This coin, originating from the city of Amorium, depicts an impressive scene from Greek mythology on its reverse side. At the center, there is a striking portrayal of the Titan Rhea and her son Zeus. Rhea, depicted seated facing right, is known as one of the significant figures in Greek mythology. To her left stands Zeus as a baby, depicted with one knee leaning on a rock and facing right. This scene may reflect one of the stories from Zeus's infancy, perhaps depicting the time when his mother Rhea hid him in a cave. Additionally, on the left side, an eagle flying towards a lighted altar can be seen; as the eagle is commonly recognized as a symbol of Zeus.
