PB Byzantine metrical seal of Auxentios (AD 11th century)
Obv: Half-length of St Auxentios; holding cross in right hand. Inscription on either side: ἅ(γιος) Αυξέντ(ιος).
Rev: Inscription of five lines, beginning with cross: +γραφὰς σφραγίζω καὶ λόγους Αὐξεντίου. Border of dots.
Translation: I seal the letters and correspondence of Auxentios.
Very rare with St Auxentios; cf. Wassiliou-Seibt, Siegel mit metrischen Legenden I, no. 366 (rev. legend).
