George III, 1760-1820. Bronze medal 1815. The Great Medal of Waterloo, by Benetto Pistrucci. Made in two halves by the electrotype process and joined to make a single medal. The dies of the medal were never hardened and these Victorian electrotypes are the closest one can get to an original Waterloo Medal.
