Description
Islamic. Anatolia & al-Jazira (Post-Seljuk). Zangids. NUR AL-DIN MAHMUD. 1146-1173 AD / 541-569 AH. AE, Dirham.
Obv: Numbate figure of Christ standing. Blundered IC XC. (CX (C retrograde, line above) and CI (C retrograde). Left vertical inscription is Malik al Umara, and right vertical inscription is Mahmud.
Rev: Constantine X and Eudokia standing and holding cross between them. Left vertical inscription is al-Adif, right inscription is Nur al-Din.
