PONTOS. Amisos. Time of Mithradates VI Eupator (Circa 85-65 BC). Ae. Obv: Head of Mithradates VI (as young Dionysos) right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev: ΑΜΙΣΟΥ. Panther skin and thyrsos on cista mystica; monogram to left and right. SNG BM Black Sea 1209; HGC 7, 243. Condition: Extremely fine. Weight: 8.9 g. Diameter: 21 mm.
