C. Egnatius Cn.f. Cn.n. Maxsumus, Denarius, Rome, 75 BC; AR (g 4,01; mm 18; h 6); Draped bust of Libertas r., wearing diadem; behind, pileus and MAXSVMVS, Rv. Roma and Venus standing front, each holding staff; Roma holds sword and places foot on wolf's head; Venus has Cupid about to alight on shoulder; on either side, rudder standing on prow; in ex. C EGNATIVS CN F; on r., CN N; on l., control letter. Crawford 391/3; Egnatia 2; Sydenham 787.
Scarce. Pleasant old cabinet tone, good extremely fine - about fdc.; ;
