ATTIC RED-FIGURE COLUMN KRATER

Very nice krater with the depiction of a dionysiac procession as main decoration. In the central position, the God Dionysus on a mule. On his both sides, two naked satyrs, one depicted dancing and the other one playing the flute. On the opposite side, a woman between two draped figures. Heavily restored, with some recostructions. Provenance: Property of a gentleman; acquired on the European art market between 1980s and 1990s.
