A Roman antefix with Eros
1st century BC - 1st century AD; alt. cm 16; Part of an antefix decorated in high relief with a bust of a winged Eros, depicted emerging from a tuft of acanthus leaves. The young god has a round fleshy face, framed by long wavy locks of hair that fall on to his forehead and shoulders. The lower edge of the antefix has a decorative moulding.
