Theodosius II, with Valentinian III AV Solidus, rare

Theodosius II (408-450 AD). AV Solidus (20-21 mm, 4.42 g), Constantinople, 425 AD.
Obv. DN THEODOSIVS P F AVG, Helmeted, cuirassed bust facing head turned slightly to right; spear over right shoulder, shield with horseman device on left shoulder.
Rev. SALVS REI PVBLICAE Γ, Theodosius II and Valentinian III seated facing on double throne, each nimbate and wearing consular robes, holding mappa and cruciform scepter; star above; CONOB in exergue.

Rare. Almost extremely fine.

Commemorating the joint consulship of Theodosius II and Valentinian III in AD 425.
