Two Canopi face to face on cushion and base, with head of Osiris to left, crowned with horns, disk, serpents Uraei and plumes and head of Isis to right, wearing atef crown, crescent between them, L ζ (date) across fields. On the obverse of this drachm too, the head of Marcus Aurelius looks to the left, while on reverse, facing each other, there are canopic jars of Osiris (on the left with the hemhem crown) and Isis (on the right with the 'atef' crown), sacred ritual relics intended to be carried in processions on boats equipped with wheels, as shown on the reverse of drachm No. 168 in the collection. A coin of absolute rarity of which RPC IV.4 2853 has only four specimens, including the present one, mentioned and illustrated at no. 4.
