Ex Italo Vecchi, London, June 1988.
On the obverse we again find a nude imperial bust, the work of a master engraver of considerable value. On the reverse, the refined representation of the Isis Pharia that from the left glides over the sea with swollen sail, towards the mythical lighthouse of Alexandria, in an integral version with the lantern flanked by Tritons and surmounted by the statue of Helios Serapis. True image of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. For the obverse see Staffieri G. M., I ritratti senza corona sui bronzi imperiali Alessandrini, as in No. 114 of the collection.
