KINGS OF MACEDON. Antigonos I Monophthalmos, as Strategos of Asia, 320-306/5 BC. Drachm (Silver, 26.21 mm, 4.21 g). Struck in the name and type of Alexander. Abydos, circa 310-301 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin. Rev. AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus Aëtophoros seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre; MI monogram in left field; ivy leaf below throne. Price 1527. Müller 254.
