KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III the Great, 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 25.19 mm, 4.19 g) lifetime issue, struck under Menander. Sardes circa 324-323 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin. Rev. AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus Aëtophoros seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre; EY monogram to left, rose under throne. Price 2553. Muller 129. Thompson, Sardes IX. 54-64, XIII. 175. Light tone.
