Marcus Antonius. AR Denarius, mint moving with Marcus Antonius, 42 BC. Obv. Bearded head of Marcus Antonius right; on the left, lituus and IMP. Rev. Radiate head of Sol; around, M·ANTONIVS·III·VIR·R·P·C. Cr. 496/3; B. 31 (Antonia); RRSC D 277.3. AR. 3.73 g. 20 mm. RR. Very rare. Crude but appealing style. Possibly a contemporary imitative issue (?). VF.
