Greek Italy. Bruttium, Vibo Valentia. AE Triens, c. 193-150 BC. Obv. Head of Minerva to right, wearing Corinthian helmet; four pellets behind. Rev. Owl standing facing; four pellets above fly to right, VALENTIA to left. HN Italy 2264; SNG ANS 484-487 var. (symbol in field). AE. 3.04 g. 18.50 mm. Extremely rare with this symbol on the reverse, only one example noted in public sales (Roma Numismatic, E-Sale 92 2021), lot 61. Enchanting emerald green patina. In high state of preservation. Good EF.
