John II Comnenus (1118-1143). AE Half Tetarteron. Thessalonica mint. Struck circa 1137-1143(?). Obv. Christ standing facing on dais, holding book of Gospel. Rev. Facing bust of John, wearing crown and jewelled chlamys, holding labarum and globus cruciger. D.O. 16; Sear 1954. AE. 1.78 g. 17.00 mm. Nice deep olive green patina. VF/Good VF.
