Heraclius, with Heraclius Constantine and Heraclonas (610-641). AV Solidus. Constantinople mint, 1st officina. Dated IY 9 (AD 635/6). Obv. Heraclonas, Heraclius, and Heraclius Constantine standing facing, each holding globus cruciger, all but Heraclonas crowned; cross to upper left. Rev. VICTORIA AVGЧA. Cross potent on three steps; Heraclian monogram to left; Θ (date) to right; beneath, CONOB+. D.O. 35; MIB 41; Sear 760. AV. 4.44 g. 20.00 mm. A sharply struck example of this fascinating dynastic issue. Brilliant and superb. Slightly porous surfaces. EF.
