Greek Italy. Southern Apulia, Tarentum. AR Diobol, c. 280-228 BC. Obv. Head of Athena left, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. Herakles, preparing to swing club he holds above, standing left, knee on lion, wich stands left, looking back at him; below, unidentified symbol. HN Italy 1065; Vlasto 1434. AR. 0.99 g. 11.50 mm. R. Darkly toned. Good VF.
