Greek Italy. Southern Apulia, Tarentum. AR Nomos, c. 325-281 BC. Obv. Warrior, holding shield and two spears, preparing to cast a third, on horseback right; dot to right; ΣA below. Rev. Phalanthos, nude, holding distafft, riding dolphin left; TAPAΣ behind, prow below. HN Italy 934; Vlasto 587. AR. 6.52 g. 21.50 mm. RR. A nice and well centred example, darkly toned. Minor cleaning marks. Good VF.
