Greek Italy. Central and Southern Campania, Capua. AE Semuncia, c. 216-211 BC. Obv. Head of Minerva right, wearing Attic helmet. Rev. KAPU in Oscan letters. Elephant right. HN Italy 510; HGC 1 408; SNG ANS 226; Graziano 36. AE. 1.57 g. 14.00 mm. RR. Attractive untouched mottled green patina. Slightly ragged flan. VF. This Semuncia belongs to the third Capua's series (Second reduced standard), based on an As of c. 28 gr.
