Greek Italy. Southern Apulia, Tarentum. AR Diobol, c. 325-280 BC. Obv. Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three rosettes. Rev. Herakles kneeling right, holding [club] and strangling the Nemean Lion. HN Italy 976; Cf. Vlasto 1372-3. AR. 0.98 g. 11.50 mm. A handsome example, of excellent style and nicely toned. VF. Cf.
