Description
Hadrian (117-138). AE Sestertius, Rome mint. Obv. HADRIANVS AVG COS III PP. Laureate bust right, with slight drapery on far shoulder. Rev. SALVS AVG SC. Salus standing right, feeding out of patera snake coiled round altar. RIC II 785. AE. 24.87 g. 30.50 mm. A bold portrait. Very minor flaw on reverse. Dark green patina. VF.
