Plautilla, wife of Caracalla (died 212 AD). AR Denarius, I issue. Obv. PLAVTILLAE AVGVSTAE. Draped bust right, hair coiled and fastened in bun. Rev. CONCORDIA AVGG. Concordia standing left, holding patera and sceptre. RIC IV (Carac.) 359; C. 2 (Fr.4). AR. 2.70 g. 18.50 mm. Scarce. Wonderful portrait, superb even light toning. EF.
