Q. Fab. AE Quadrans, uncertain Sicilian mint (Lilybaeum or Panormos), late 2nd century BC. Obv. Head of Herakles left, wearing lion skin. Rev. Q•FAB (magistrate's name); below, club and [bow]. CNS I 128 (Panormos); SNG ANS 605 (Panormos); HGC 2 -. AE. 1.19 g. 11.00 mm. RRR. A superb example of this extremely rare and interesting issue. Sharply struck and in excellent state of preservation. Reverse slightly off centre, lovely even dark green patina. EF.
