Sicily. Syracuse. Hieron II (274-215 BC). AE Litra, 240-215 BC. Obv. Diademed head of Poseidon left. Rev. Ornamented trident head flanked by two dolphins; in field, IEP - ΩNOΣ. HGC 2 1550; CNS II 197; SNG ANS 965. AE. 7.53 g. 21.00 mm. A very attractive example. Glossy green brown patina. Good VF.
