Valentinian standing facing, holding long cross and Victory on globe, foot placed on human-headed coiled serpent; in field, R-V in exergue, CONOB. Cf. RIC 2018 var. (COMOB); cf. Depeyrot 17/1 var. (same); cf. Ranieri 95 corr. (CONOB misreaded COMOB?). AV. 4.50 g. 21.00 mm. R. An outstanding example, sharply struck on a broad flan, from masterly engraved dies. A rare and interesting variety.
