Gordian II Africanus (238 AD). AE Sestertius. D/ IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AFR AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind. R/ PROVIDENTIA AVGG SC. Providentia, her legs crossed, standing left, leaning on column, holding wand over globe and cornucopiae. RIC 4; C. 6. AE. g. 16.85 mm. 29.50 RR. Very rare. Light green patina. VF.
