Gordian I Africanus (328 AD). AE Sestertius, Rome mint. D/ IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AFR AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. R/ SECVRITAS AVGG SC. Saecuritas seated left, holding sceptre. RIC 11; C. 11 (Fr. 70). AE. g. 17.20 mm. 29.50 R. Rare. Superb portrait. Enchanting enamel-like blue-green patina. Good VF/VF.
