Description

Uruguay. 1887, 100 Pesos, P-215, Steel Back Printing Plate. Vignette of cow on right and vaqueros on horseback with cattle at left and center under ornate title. Cross hatching on left and right. Plate #C-261 on top. 9 by 4.5 inches. Plate is in XF-Uncirculated condition with light hairlines from normal past plate cleaning but no other detracting marks. The back has numerous cross hatch marks due to the printer trying to strengthen the printing quality of the plate after numerous printings. Unique in the ABN archives. Exhibition item of Museum quality that will enhance any advanced Uruguay collection. Also includes a souvenir card with the impression from the original plate. ABNC.
