SHIMON BAR-KOKHBA, 132 – 135 CE Overstruck on a coin with a legionary countermark with a galley. Bronze, 21.5 mm. Year two. Obverse: Vine leaf. Paleo-Hebrew inscription: "Y(ear) T(wo) to the Free(dom) of Israel. Reverse: Palm tree. Paleo-Hebrew inscription: "Shim(on)". +Very Fine. Mildenberg 56; Meshorer TJC 260a; Hendin 1408.
