SHIMON BAR-KOKHBA, 132 – 135 CE Silver denarius or Zuz, 2.92 gr. Obverse: Bunche of grapes. Paleo-Hebrew inscription: “Shimon". Reverse: Lyre. Paleo-Hebrew inscription: "To the freedom of Jerusalem". Struck on a denarius of Vespasian. Very Fine. Mildenberg 174; Meshorer TJC 274a; Hendin 1435. Ex Menashe Landman coll., Haifa (Ex Zadok 1973).
