HUGE AND RARE PHOENICIAN HEAD SHAPED GLASS BEAD
Ca. 500 - 300 BC An iconic Phoenician glass bead shaped like the head of a bearded man. The bead features dazzling blues and bright yellows and has one hole at the top for suspension and another for a stand at the back. Phoenician glass artefacts have been discovered in archaeological sites throughout the Mediterranean region, demonstrating the widespread influence of their glassmaking industry.
