COLLECTION OF NISHAPUR BOWLS
Ca. AD 800 - 1000 A collection of Nishapur terracotta bowls. The bowls are painted in ochre, yellow and white against a brown ground. The interior of the bowls features roundels and geometric designs enclosing leafy scrolls. The exterior of the bowls is painted with a red slip and clear glaze.

Provenance: Property of a London Islamic art specialist collector; previously in a collection formed since the 1980s.
