ABBASID RIBBED GLASS JUG
Ca. AD 800 - 1000 An Abbasid green glass jug with pear shaped body and a narrow, short neck that is connected to a short, flared rim. The body is embellished with a ribbed pattern. The jug has a tubular handle between the rim and the shoulders of the vessel, upon the top of the handle is a spherical thumb rest.
