PAIR OF RARE VISIGOTHIC GILDED BRONZE BROOCHES WITH RED GARNET CABOCHONS
Ca. AD 400 - 600 A pair of rare Visigothic / Longobardic gilded bronze bow-shaped brooches with hemispherical sun-shaped faces. The rest of the surface is embellished with low-relief scrolling shapes and red garnet inlays. The reverse has an iron backplate to reinforce the bronze.
