CHINESE NORTHERN WEI BRICK
Ca. AD 386 - 534 A terracotta rectangular brick from the Northern Wei period featuring a finely molded image of Buddha seated under a chaitya arch. The figure is clothed in a long robe with intricate drapery, with hair arranged neatly into an Ushnisha top knot. The Buddha is in a Abhaya mudra, with facial features showcasing a serene expression.
