TALL EGYPTIAN ALABASTER VESSEL
Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC A stunning vessel with pyriform shape that is expertly hand-carved from honey-brown alabaster. The top-heavy vessel is characterised by a pointed base, a pyriform body with a delicately tapering profile, and a rounded shoulder. The interior cavity was drilled out using progressively finer drill bits and abrasive sand.
