SUPERB VILLANOVAN POTTERY AMPHORA
Ca. 800 - 600 BC A large Villanovan terracotta globular jar with a broad-shouldered body tapering to the base. The cylindrical neck features a wide flange. Two diagonally oriented handles protrude from the shoulders. The shoulder section is further embellished with a pair of 'horns.' The vase is decorated with red/brown painting on the entire body.
