ROMAN TERRACOTTA TEN-SNOUTED OIL LAMP

A rare example of a terracotta oil lamp featuring an elongated body with a decorated unpierced handle and central filling hole flanked by vent holes. Six wick holes on the long side and respectively two holes on the shorter sides.

Provenance: Ex WB Collection (1895-1973), Rhineland. In Germany since before 1960.
