BRONZE AGE BRONZE SUN CROSS AMULET
Ca. 600 BC
Openwork bronze sun pendant comprising two concentric circles with raised decorative dots at regular intervals joined by four horizontal bars. The sun is commonly depicted in Bronze Age art and seems to have been a powerful symbol of fertility and the passage of time. However, the sun was not just a natural phenomenon but was often viewed as a god in many Bronze Age societies. Good condition; on modern neck loop.
