LATE ROMAN MONOGRAM INTAGLIO GOLD RING

A garnet stone intaglio of oval shape, engraved with a monogram for Mother Mary set in a gold finger ring of a joined double-band hoop, expanding at the shoulders to create triangular-shaped openings supporting the bezel cell with intricately decorated border. Each arm of the hoop is embellised with a gold wire coils.
