Ca. 1-300 AD. A beautiful bronze patera comprising a deep body, with a rounded rim, and a protruding, flaring handle terminating with perforation for hanging. A patera is a broad dish usually made of bronze, and typically used as a sacred libation vessel during religious events. Though the patera could also be used in the domestic sphere for the preparation or serving of food items. Size: L:105mm / W:110mm; 331.2g.
